On February 7th I started one of the most rewarding physical endeavors I've undertaken to date. With Meredith, we cycled south from Auckland and five weeks later ended up in Ivercargill. The tour required a great patience because it took so long to go between destinations; our testament to this great patience was less in our ability to cycle really quickly and more in our dedication to long days of cycling - often six or more hours of actual pedaling. The photo above - albeit a pictureqsue one - is quintessential because it captures my most vivid memories of the tour - the landscapes. I've made a separate slide show of only landscape pictures.
